A warning light is the car telling you it has logged a fault. Reading the code is the start, not the answer: we test the circuit, the sensor and the live data so the part we recommend is the one that's actually failed. £48 per hour inc VAT, and most checks take less than that.
What we diagnose
- Engine management light — misfires, sensors, emissions, fuelling, turbo and boost faults. Amber, steady or flashing, each means something different: the engine management light explained.
- ABS, traction and stability lights — wheel speed sensors, pump and module faults. An MOT fail if on.
- Airbag / SRS light — seat sensors, wiring under the seats, clock springs. Also an MOT fail.

- Electrical faults — intermittent lights, windows, locks, wipers, battery drains.

How it works
- Full-system scan with dealer-level equipment — every control unit, not just the engine — and the freeze-frame data from when the fault happened.
- Live-data and circuit testing to prove the fault: a sensor code often means the wiring or the thing the sensor is measuring, not the sensor.
- You get the findings in plain English and a photographed, itemised quote for the repair. Nothing is replaced on a hunch, and nothing is done without your say-so.
- After the repair, the codes are cleared and the car road-tested to confirm the light stays off.

How much is a diagnostic check?
£48 per hour including VAT, and most checks take less than an hour. If we need longer because a fault is intermittent, we'll tell you before we carry on.
Can't you just clear the light?
We can, but it comes back if the fault is still there, and on an MOT the tester checks that the light works and goes out. Clearing without fixing hides the problem and can fail the test. We find the cause first.
Is a flashing engine light serious?
Yes. A flashing engine management light usually means a misfire that's dumping unburnt fuel into the catalytic converter. Ease off and get it looked at quickly; driving on can turn a coil pack into a catalytic converter.
Will a warning light fail my MOT?
Engine management, ABS, airbag, electronic parking brake and tyre pressure lights that stay on are all fails. Get the fault diagnosed before the test rather than after it.
Do you diagnose all makes?
Yes. Our equipment covers the main European, Japanese and Korean makes, including hybrids. If your car needs a dealer-only tool for a specific job we'll tell you rather than guess.
